Tinsel Time

I finally moved into my new house and, now the stress is over, it’s time to get festive. What better way to decorate my cosy new lounge than with these little cuties from A di Alessi. Now all I have to do is decide whether or not I want the Christmas Cowboy, the Hug Tree or the Nativity Scene. You can get these, and a couple of others too, at Panik-Design

I’m a sucker for a bit of vintage so I neaarly choked on my walnut whip when I came across H is for Home. Full of vintage and retro homewares which will make my new pad sparkle.

Oh Deer!

An easy animal-loving way to get the hunting lodge feel without shooting any of the pretty wildlife in the belly. Just peel and stick, much nicer than murdering Bambi’s mum, and they come in pink, silver, orange, white and black.

My Dream House

Posted in Blah with tags , , , , , , on July 7, 2009 by Looks Delicious

Technically this is not a house, it is Castillo de Las Coloradas or Torre de Aguila (Eagle Tower), it’s in Lanzarote and it’s my new dream home. It was built in 1742 as a watchtower for the strip of sea between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and it was burned by Pirates looking for slaves but it’s still standing. There is a beautiful belltower on top and sits on it’s own on the edge of the cliff but the best part is that it has a drawbridge so I can just raise it up and keep the monsters out. I just hope I can get wireless in there…..
